Mingomba Mines Introduce Mwabu Learn to Kawama Primary School

Mwabu has partnered with Mingomba Mines Limited (MML) to launch a transformative three-year project aimed at enhancing education at Kawama Primary School in Chililabombwe District. This initiative, part of MML's corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, is making Mwabu Learn content available to 492 learners in an effort to improve learning outcomes.

The programme, focusing on grades 3 and 4 across two streams in each grade, has several key objectives:

  • Boosting learners’ literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Improving attendance.

  • Equipping teachers with digital tools and training, enabling them to better support learners to achieve learning outcomes.

  • Supporting teachers in interpreting data for targeted interventions.

To achieve these goals,16 teachers have been trained to utilise Mwabu Learn content, delivered on tablets and enhanced by projector-assisted lesson delivery.

This initiative represents a significant milestone for Kawama Primary School, as a big step towards digital transformation for improved educational success. Both learners and teachers benefit, while potentially shaping the future of learning in the region.
