Time + Tide Reading Improvement

After one year of using the Mwabu Learn app as part of an after-school programme aimed at improving low literacy levels of girls, the 2023 cohort scored a collective average of 53% on their literacy assessments – a significant increase from the baseline at 27%.

Based on these outstanding results, the programme was expanded during 2024 to their other Girls Clubs in South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi. These cohorts scored a collective average of 70% in their literacy assessment after just two academic terms, up from 48% at baseline.
