Congratulations to the winner of our recent Back-to-School promotion, Edwin Kapolesa. He won a K3,000 contribution towards school fees. iSchool Zambia ran a promotion from 13 December to 7 January. Customers purchasing the Mwabu tablet during this period filled in entry forms to participate in the promotion.
“I’m very, very grateful. I’m struggling right now to raise the school fees, so iSchool has sorted out my problem,” said Edwin when we called him to inform him that he had won the coveted prize.
We asked what he thought his chances of winning the prize were. Edwin said, “Frankly speaking, I didn’t think I was going to win. A lot of people buy these tablets, so I felt that my chances were slim. It came as a shock when I was told I had won.”
Edwin has two children, a twelve-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son. His son’s school fees are K3,891. iSchool is contributing K3,000 towards these fees, so Edwin has to raise only K891!
iSchool was also pleasantly surprised to learn that Edwin was a returning customer.
“This is the fourth tablet that I have bought from iSchool. I have the old version of the tablet - the first one you introduced on the market. On 26 December, I walked into your Manda Hill shop to buy the latest Mwabu tablet for my son who is going into Grade 5. I keep buying the tablets because I have seen how they have helped my children. The tablets have a lot of content, and cover a wide range of topics. They keep my kids busy and away from the TV. My daughter is now going into Grade 8. The tablet really helped her. She got 817 marks.”
Most parents expected schools to open in the first week of February and were caught unawares when the date was brought forward to 22 January. Our Back-to-School promotion, in which Edwin Kapolesa won a K3,000 contribution to school fees came at just the right time!
