"For me, technology has made the transition from Mathematics to NST easier. The strategies that we learnt in our training sessions, I feel I can still use with my learners in NST."
He also mentioned that due to larger numbers of learners and limited space in the classroom, he has frequently used paired talk partners and more questioning strategies to assess learners understanding.
"I enjoy using the explanation of terms from the Mwabu lessons and there are notes for the learners as well. In Grade 4 NST, there are a lot of practical activities, so we go outside the classroom to observe, record and collect information and then come back into class and investigate our findings. I use the Mwabu lessons and I add activities from the learners’ activity books. I really enjoy using the colourful yet challenging interactive activities to test my learners understanding."
